There are many causes of air pollution. Understanding these factors is an important step toward solving our planets air quality problems and protecting our environment. Throughout history many private and governmental agencies have been developed to evaluate and regulate causes of air pollution. While most of our air pollution is produced by human contamination some of the air quality issues we have are compounded by naturally occurring pollutants such as dust storms and large concentrations of radon gas produced by decomposing compounds in our soil. The following man made inventions are responsible for most of our planets air pollution.
